DHL Supply Chain is today announcing the global launch of Supply Chain Matters, an expanded resource for logistics professionals to guide them through the core issues that are paramount to modern logistics and transport functions.

To mirror the global nature of the logistics industry and DHL’s own reach and industry expertise, Supply Chain Matters highlights the top industry trends in the world of logistics as an authoritative online industry resource helping business leaders to drive innovation and efficiency in the supply chain.

Readers can subscribe to receive the content directly to their inbox by clicking here. A dedicated Supply Chain Matters LinkedIn group has also been developed where supply chain professionals can interact, comment upon and debate the content published on the site as well as the industry in general.

The resource will be updated monthly with new articles and in-depth features on timely issues, challenges or trends that are currently affecting the supply chain. Framed around the five key topics of efficiency, simplification, innovation, sustainability and insights, Supply Chain Matters features topical content such as a piece on the potential security threat against customer data, a feature showcasing the eight trends re-shaping the face of global retail, and an interview with Acer’s Chief Customer Support Officer on the importance of aftercare services, amongst other content.

Graham Inglis, CEO, Europe, Middle East and Africa said: “Logistics is the definition of a fast-moving industry, and businesses must adapt to these new trends and challenges in order to maintain their competitive edge - although it’s easier said than done to overhaul operations in a time of flux.

“Economic conditions over the past few years have put supply chains under intense scrutiny to better perform and Supply Chain Matters has been designed to provide insight into how businesses can drive these efficiencies forward as well as highlight the global issues affecting business leaders in logistics.”
